Brookhaven police are investigating the theft of an auto from the Walmart Distribution Center Saturday.

After 9 p.m. Saturday, unknown individuals entered the Walmart DC parking lot on Manufacturers Boulevard in Brookhaven and drove around, attempting to find a vehicle they could access and steal.

The suspects were able to access a white 2007 Chrysler Sebring, tag number FNA7864, which belongs to a DC employee, and left the property with the vehicle.

“We are working with Walmart DC, local, state and federal partners, and implementing all technology available to us in attempt to locate the vehicle,” said Brookhaven Police Assistant Chief Clint Earls.

Earls said there have been no reported vehicle burglaries in that area for the same time period.

From security video, the suspect vehicle appears to be a gray Chrysler sedan. The theft was reported to the Brookhaven Police Department at approximately 2:33 a.m. Sunday.
