Update: Fugitive turned himself in to Louisiana authorities

HAZLEHURST — A fugitive wanted for attempted murder and last seen in Copiah County has turned himself in. Phillip Jamison, a white male approximately 40 years old, is no longer armed and dangerous nor on the run.
Copiah County Sheriff’s Office provided an update Friday morning around 10 a.m. Lawerence County Sheriff Ryan Everett shared the same update. He was not reached by a phone call Friday morning for further comment or information.
Jamison was wanted by the U.S. Marshalls Service and was last seen in Copiah County Thursday.
