BEAUREGARD — Mississippi Tobacco Free Coalition of Copiah and Lincoln Counties will host a Community Health Awareness Fair Saturday in Beauregard. The village is a smoke-free community and will host the fair from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. 

Health screenings and health professionals will be on hand at the Beauregard Playground at 1012 East Avenue in Wesson. It is not the only event planned by the Mississippi Tobacco Free Coalition of Copiah and Lincoln Counties. 

Registration for Freedom From Smoking Group Quit will be held next Wednesday on June 7, 2023. Those interested in quitting smoking or tobacco can stop by 2130 South First Street in Brookhaven to register at 10 a.m Wednesday. 

The quit group will practice being a non-smoker during the seven week program and an in-person group will support others who are quitting and will be led by a trained facilitator. 

Dr. Irene Byrd, one of the coalition members, will host a vaccination drive on June 12, 2023 at Salon Honey located on 911 Highway US 550 North in Brookhaven. No ID is needed for the drive from 12p.m. to 3p.m.
