MCLAURIN — Wesson took five out of seven courts to advance in the MHSAA 3A Team Tennis Playoffs Tuesday evening. They beat McLaurin to advance to the second round and will face the winner of Our Lady Academy vs  St. Stainislaus.

Head Coach Taylor Burke said she does not know the details about when and where the second round playoff match will be played but she will provide an update in the coming days.

Wesson’s no. 1 boys singles Coleman Bonds won his court 6-3, 6-0 while no.1 girls singles Macey Loy won 6-1, 6-3. No.1 boys doubles Connor Brister and Ben McKenzie won 6-0, 6-0 and no.2 boys doubles pair Cole Short and Trevor McCree won 6-2, 6-1.

Wesson’s mixed double pair Brendon Duguid and Allison Hamilton won 6-1, 6-4.
