American Legion seeking to aid tornado victims

American Legion Drane-Prine Post #79 in Wesson is collecting supplies to get them to the people of those areas impacted by tornadoes last Friday. Drane-Prine Post Commander Bobby Thornton said they have served and would continue to serve the victims.
Mississippians are in need of help after losing homes, businesses and transportation. Thornton asks people to pray for the families of the area and the families of those that have lost loved ones.
“American Legion will come together and start helping to rebuild their community,” Thornton said.
People can drop off items at American Legion Post 79 on 1014 Main Street Wesson, MS 39191 on these days at these times in the coming weeks.
April 3 – 7 ( M-F) 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm
April 8 (Saturday) 12:00 to 4:00 pm
April 10 – 14 ( M-F) 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm
April 15 (Saturday) 12:00 to 4:00 pm

In addition, the American Legion Emergency Relief Fund is always available to contribute. Funds from this goes to Veterans and their Family who are members of the American Legion.
