BROOKHAVEN — Sparklight published a brief statement online Monday morning to confirm an outage impacting customers in Southwest Mississippi.
A reader commented on The Daily Leader’s Facebook page and said their Sparklight has been out since 10:30 a.m.
At 2:50 p.m., the company provided an update saying technicians were troubleshooting the problem in order to get services restored as soon as they could.
“We are aware of an outage impacting internet, phone and video services to a portion of customers in Brookhaven, Natchez and McComb areas. Technicians are working diligently to get service restored as quickly as possible,” the initial statement read.
The Crouton reported its systems were down and could not take card payment at the moment due to the outage. The restaurant in downtown Brookhaven on Railroad Avenue reported it was taking cash only so it is possible other businesses in town are facing the same challenge.
The Crouton later announced it closed at 1:30 p.m. and would open back up Tuesday.
Sparklight said it apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks customers for their patience.
