Brookhaven Junior Ambassadors 2022

The 2022 Junior Ambassadors will soon begin their duties as the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce marks the beginning of the Christmas season in just two weeks.
JAs serve as ambassadors to the business community. They must be ninth-grade students who live in Lincoln County.
Participating businesses across Brookhaven and the county will be open Saturday, Nov. 12, for the annual Christmas Open House. Junior Ambassadors will serve as hostesses at the businesses, matched alphabetically. They will also assist Santa Claus with candy distribution toward the end of the route of the Brookhaven Christmas Parade, Thursday, Dec. 1. More community service hours will be available during the spring semester.
This year’s theme is “The Greatest Gifts.”
Sylvia Elizabeth Bass, daughter of Chris and Janie Bass, is a freshman at Loyd Star Attendance Center. She is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Junior Beta Club. She is an All-A-Honor Student and was recently voted as 9th Grade Class Favorite by her peers. She is a member of the Loyd Star varsity women’s basketball team and is a varsity cheerleader for the Hornets. Sylvia attends Mount Zion Baptist Church and is active in the youth group. Her favorite thing about living in Lincoln County is the people.
Marley Layne Brown, daughter of Jeremy and Carrie Brown, is an area homeschool freshman and is an honor roll student. She is a member of Elite Performance and Tumble and is an active member of Johnson Grove Church of Christ. Marley’s favorite thing about Brookhaven is home. She loves being surrounded by family and friends.
Emma Daisy Bower, daughter of Kevin and Courtney Bower, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. She is a member of the BHS Pride of Ole Brook Band and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Emma is in the National Junior Honor Society and is an All-A-Honor-Roll student. She serves on the student leadership team at Clear Branch Baptist Church. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is football games on Friday nights.
Lillian Olivia Carter, daughter of Casey and Rebecca Carter, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. She is a member of the Science Club and National Honor Society. Lillian is on the All-A-Honor-Roll. She plays tennis and basketball for the BA Cougar teams and is a competitive dancer at Show Stoppers. Lillian is an active member of the youth group at FBC Summit. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the small town feel and having family and friends close by.
Ciatlyn Alexis Case, daughter of Mark and Charity Case, is a freshman at Enterprise Attendance Center. Caitlyn is a mbmer of First Priority, FBLA, Senior Beta, and Football Stats. She is on the All A Honor Roll, plays basketball and softball, and was named Rookie of the Year in Softball for EAC. Caitlyn is a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church. Her favorite thing about Lincoln County is how the community helps each other in times of need and someone always has your back.
Oliva Leah Case, daughter of Dr. Ryan and Wendi Case, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. She is in the chess club and a member of the BA Cougar Soccer Team. Olivia is an honor roll student and a member of the Honors Society. She enjoys theater and ballet as well. Olivia is active in the youth group at Faith Presbyterian Church. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the downtown area and all the fun activities that are offered.
Anna Kaitlyn Dooley, daughter of Jason and Lesa Dooley, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. She is the current class representative on the BHS student council and has recently had a roll in the beloved homecoming production. Anna Kaitlyn is a member of the Jr. National Honor Society, MS Scholar, and is an Honor Roll student. She is a member of the BHS Panther softball team. She is active in the youth group at Jackson Street United Methodist. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the small town life and that it feels like a close-knit family.
Addyson Grace Foster, daughter of Cindy Foster, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. Addy is a member of Pride of Ole Brook band and recently won the “Best Server” award for the BHS Volleyball team. She also competes with the BHS tennis team. Addy is a member of the Harmony Baptist Church youth group. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the feeling of community. When someone is in need in the area, people always step up to provide.
Natalie Evelyn Freeny, daughter of Trey and Tracy Freeny, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Natalie is a member of the Science Club. She is on the Principal’s Honor Roll and is a member of the Junior Honor Society. Natalie is a BA Cougar Cheerleader and plays on the basketball team. She is a competitive dancer and student dance teacher at Show Stoppers. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is seeing familiar faces everywhere she goes.
Annabel Jewel Gaskin, daughter of Jason and Shanteau Gaskin, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Annabel is a member of the National Honor Society and Science Club. She is on the Headmaster’s List Honor Roll and has recently been voted as “Most Courteous.” Annabel is a JV Cheerleader, plays for the Lady Cougar Softball team, serves as Lady Cougar Basketball manager, and is a member of the Fury Travel Softball team in the area. She also is a member of the Pursuit Jiu Jutsu studio and Prospects Training Academy. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the comfort and sense of community here.
Baleigh Grace Griffith, daughter of Micah and Vicki Griffith, is a freshman at West Lincoln Attendance Center. At West Lincoln, Baleigh is a member of Booster Buddies and helps with the youth softball camp. She is an Honor Roll student, voted Student of the Year, Miss West Lincoln Junior High and class favorite. She plays softball and soccer for the WL Bears. Baleigh is a member of Ramah Baptist Church and enjoys volunteering for VBS. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the small hometown feel and that people care for each other.
Ashlyn Kate Hall, daughter of Stuart and Sarabeth Hall, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Ashlyn is an honor roll student and a member of the Jr. High National Honor Society. She has received awards in Jr. High such as “Typical Freshman” and 8th grade Homecoming Maid and 8th grade Class Rep. Ashlyn is a member of the JV cheer squad and tennis team at BA. She is active in her youth group at Moak’s Creek Baptist Church. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the closeness and involvement of the community.
Johna Claire Haralson, daughter of John and Amber Haralson, is a freshman at Enterprise Attendance Center. Johna is a member of the FBLA, Student Council, First Priority, Football Stats, and is a Baseball Diamond Doll. She is an A/B Honor Roll student and plays basketball and softball for EWA. Johna is a member of Topisaw Baptist Youth Group and a member of Rainin Three Hoop School. Her favorite thing about living in Lincoln County is the close knit community and how we support small businesses.
Alyssa Michelle Jarreau, daughter of Wayne and Michelle Jarreau, is a freshman at Enterprise Attendance Center. Alyssa is a member of the First Priority Club. She is an honor roll student and crowned Most Beautiful at the EAC pageant. She also plays tennis for EAC. Alyssa is active in her youth group at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she plays piano and guitar. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the small town Christian atmosphere where everyone treats you like you’re family.
Madelynn Claire Jergins, daughter of Speedy and Tonya Jergins, is a freshman at Enterprise Attendance Center. Madelynn is an honor roll student and plays basketball and softball for EAC Lady Jackets. She is active in the youth group at Topisaw Baptist Church. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven and Lincoln County is the nice people.
Isabella Taylr Jordan, daughter of Chad and Amber Jordan, is a freshman at Enterprise Attendance Center. Isabella is an honor roll student and received the perfect attendance award her 8th grade year. She is a member of the Lady Jacket softball team. Isabella is an active member of Johnson Grove Church of Christ. Her favorite thing about Lincoln County is her school.
Catherine Eva Mason, daughter of Rob and Amy Mason, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. Eva serves on the BHS Yearbook staff, Mock Trial Team, Show Choir, BHS Cross Country Team, and recently starred in the beloved Ole Brook Homecoming production. She is an Honor Roll student, member of the National Jr. Honor Society. Eva is a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, serving as lector and VBS volunteer. She enjoys volunteering her time with the Brookhaven Little Theatre and BARL. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is all the traditions. Of all the places her family lives all over the country, when they get together, they choose Brookhaven to come every time.
Kahlen Paige Milstead, daughter of Taz and Mandy Milstead, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Kahlen is a member of the BA Science Club and Jr. High National Honor Society where she serves as treasurer. She has received Highest Academic Honors in math, science, computer, and English. She is a Lott Leadership Attendee, Patriot’s Pen Essay winner, Jr. MS Scholar, Capitol Debate Top-Speaker and William Durr Award recipient. Kahlen is a member of the BA JV cheer squad and tennis team. She is a member of Brookhaven Dance Academy and a student teacher. Kahlen attends Easthaven Baptist Church. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the sense of community and that everyone is always there to help each other.
Emma Elaine Mirabel, daughter of Adam and Lisa Furlow, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. Emma is a member of the BHS Band and Mock Trial. She was recently inducted in the Jr. National Honor Society and is an A/B Honor Roll Student. Emma was voted as Freshman Homecoming maid and was starred in the BHS homecoming production. She is active in the FBC youth group band, Rock Solid. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the small businesses.
Addi Reese Myers, daughter of Corey and Courtney Myers, is a freshman at West Lincoln Attendance Center. Addi is a member of the FCA and FFA. She plays for the Lady Bear’s Basketball and Softball teams where she was awarded Rookie of the Year for fast-pitch softball. Addi is also a member of the Impulse Travel Softball Team and the LIncln County 4-H. She attends Heuck’s Retreat Baptist Church and is active in the youth group. Her favorite thing about Lincoln County is the beautiful downtown area with great food.
Sofie Grace Orr, daughter of Jeremy and Stefanie Orr, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Sofie is a member of the FCA and has served as 7th grade class representative, Most Energetic 8th grader, 9th Grade Cougar Spirit Award and was voted as freshman homecoming maid. She is a JV cheerleader and a dancer at Nena Smith’s School of Dance. Sofie is active in the Faith Presbyterian Church worship team and youth group. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven and Lincoln County is great shopping!
Kristen Taylor Pollard, daughter of Scott and Emily Pollard, is a freshman at Enterprise Attendance Center. Kristen is an A/B Honor Roll student and plays softball. She is active in her church youth group. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the nice people and all the cute shops.
Kennedy Elizabeth Powell, daughter of Mike and Rachel Powell, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. Kennedy is a member of the BHS Band, volleyball team, and National Jr. Honor Society. She is an A/B Honor Roll Student, receiving several highest average awards and the AJH 8th Grade Leadership Award. Kennedi is a communing member of Faith Presbyterian Church and is active in the youth group and choir. She enjoys studying visual arts and babysitting. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is knowing she lives in a nice, loving, and caring community.
Claire Babinglon Redd, daughter of Michael and Karen Redd, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Claire is a member of the Science Club, yearbook committee, and serves as class secretary. She is on the Headmaster’s List at BA and is a member of Jr. High National Honor Society. Claire plays on the Cougar tennis team, is a BA JV cheerleader, and cheers for the MS Gym of Dreams. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the close-knit community.
Juliette Elizabeth Redd, daughter of Micahel and Karen Redd, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Juliette is a member of the Science Club, yearbook committee, and serves as class treasurer. She is on the Headmaster’s List at BA, a member of Jr. High National Honor Society, and is in Honors English. Juliette plays on the Cougar tennis team, is a BA JV cheerleader, and cheers for the MS Gym of Dreams. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the beautiful downtown and all the nice people she’s met.
Jayla Shavon Sanders, daughter of Dominique and Lela Smith, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. Jayla is a member of the BHS yearbook club and is an A/B Honor Roll student. She enjoys playing softball. Volunteering, and is a member of her church’s 4-H club. Jayla’s favorite thing about Brookhaven is the county fairs and our downtown area.
Kynnedi Jovonne Smith, daughter of Tecompsha and Karitta Warren, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. Kynnedi is a member of the Pride of Ole Brook Band, a BHS cheerleader, and a member of the National Jr. Honor Society. She is an All-A Honor Roll student. Kynnedi enjoys being a member of the Purity Dance Minstiry at Abudance Life Church. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the family-oriented atmosphere of the community.
Mary Anson Tate, daughter of Leighton and Sidney Tate, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Mary Anson is a member of the FCA, Science Club, and National Honor Society. She is an All-A Honor Roll student, being name Student of the Month on several occasions. She has been nominated for the Lott Leadership Award and represented BA at the Co-Lin Math Competition. She plays for the Cougar tennis and basketball team and dances competitively at Showstopper’s and is a member of Rainin’ Three Hoop School. Mary Anson attends Topisaw Baptist Church. She also plays violin. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the Christmas Parade and Janie’s.
Sidney Susanna Tate, daughter of Leighton and Sidney Tate, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Susanna is a member of the FCA, Science Club, and National Honor Society. She is an All-A Honor Roll student and was the DARE essay winner. She plays for the Cougar tennis and basketball team and dances competitively at Showstopper’s. She is a member of the Rainin’ Three Hoop School. Susanna is a member of Topisaw Baptist Church. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the small town friendly atmosphere.
Ann Carter Waltman, daughter of Michael and Kathy Waltman, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Ann Carter is a member of FCA and is an Honor Roll Student. She is a member of the Brookhaven Academy Cougar Cross Country, Track, and Basketball team. Ann Carter enjoys pottery and traveling, enjoying a recent trip to Africa. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is how neighbors and friends are all close and really care about each other.
