KDMC names new Chief Nursing Officer

Jaymie Heard, DNP, RN, has been named the new Chief Nursing Officer of King’s Daughters Medical Center. Heard has worked for KDMC since August 2006. He became Director of Inpatient Nursing in February 2008, and stepped into the CNO role Aug. 14, 2022.
Heard obtained his degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi — a Bachelor’s of Science in nursing, a master’s degree in nursing with emphasis in leadership, and a doctorate in nursing practice.
He is actively engaged with Mississippi Hospital Association where he has served as President of MHA Nurse Executive Committee, served on the board of MHA Healthcare Quality Committee. He is also a member of Mississippi and American Organization of Nurse Executives.
Heard and his wife Amy — a radiology tech at KDMC Medical Clinic — have one son, Jackson, a first-grader. They make their home in Wesson and are active members of Clear Branch Baptist Church.
