Two people have been arrested in connection with several automobile burglaries in the East Lincoln community.
Reports were made of the burglaries Sunday night and Monday morning, Jan. 16-17, along with the theft of a motorcycle.
LCSO investigators, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Walthall County S.O. deputies received information that led to the arrest of Dylan Ray Guy, 19, at a residence in Lawrence County, on charges relating to vehicle burglaries in Walthall County.
Later that evening, the agencies — along with the Pike County S.O. — arrested Ja’Quan Sibley, 18, at a Pike County residence in connection to burglaries in Walthall and Lincoln counties. Property was also recovered in Pike County belonging to Lincoln County victims.
Lincoln County Sheriff Steve Rushing credited the general public for information, along with the multiple law enforcement agencies for the arrests and property recovery.
Both Guy, of Jayess, and Sibley, of McComb, will face burglary charges in Lincoln, Walthall and possibly other counties as the investigations continue.
In Lincoln County, each has been charged with seven counts of auto burglary, and seven counts of conspiracy to commit a crime. Both are currently in Walthall County Jail with holds for Lincoln County.
