Accumulating snow is expected through this morning, particularly for locations along and north of Interstate 20, according to the National Weather Service in Jackson.

Snow was seen overnight in portions of Lincoln County as well, however.

The greatest chance for heavier snow will be over central into north central Mississippi where one to two inches of accumulation with locally heavier amounts will be possible. The snow could be mixed with drizzle at times. Roads may be snow covered and slick making travel difficult, so motorists should use extra caution. Snow should end by around midday.
