Silver alert canceled for Silver Creek man

The Silver Alert issued for Matt Wages has been canceled. He has been located and is safe.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has issued a Silver Alert for 25-year-old Matt Wages of Silver Creek, in Lawrence County.

He is described as a white male, six feet three inches tall, weighing 180-200 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2021, at about 12:42 p.m. in the 3300 block of Hwy. 43A in Lawrence County, wearing a black t-shirt, gray pajama pants and green Crocs.

He was last seen walking in an unknown direction.

Family members say Wages suffers from a medical condition that may impair his judgment.
