The annual Christmas parade, which begins at 6:30 p.m. today in downtown Brookhaven, will follow a slightly different route this year.
The parade will begin at the corner of South Jackson and West Cherokee streets, next to Mary Lampton Auditorium and the Dep. Donald William Durr, Cpl. Zach Moak and Patrolman James White Memorial Post Office.
The procession will turn right under the Home Seekers Paradise sign onto South Whitworth Avenue, then cross the railroad track on West Chickasaw Street before turning left again onto South Railroad Avenue. The final turn of the parade will be a left at East Monticello Street.
