Falana McDaniel, founder and executive director of Families United Training Center in Brookhaven, recently received Excellence in Action Certification.

Awarded by the Mississippi Alliance of Nonprofits and Philanthropy, the EIA Certification allows nonprofit leaders to develop professional growth by providing immediate and accessible knowledge and tools that strengthen necessary skills, improve efficiency and provide the ability to implement best practices of high-impact nonprofit organizations. It offers a relevant and innovative curriculum that provides participants with a strong foundation in nonprofit management, increased marketability in the industry, and the ability to enable strategic change within their organization.
