Some offices and businesses will be closed Monday in anticipation of power outages and impassable roadways.
The City of Brookhaven’s offices will be closed, but emergency lines will be open, and crews will assess and respond to damages and blocked roadways as needed.
Lincoln County has delayed opening offices until 10 a.m., but will reassess Monday morning. County crews will also assess and respond to damages and blocked roadways as needed.
Some businesses, such as The Daily Leader office and R.B. Wall Oil, have announced they will be closed.
“Please help us keep you safe and our first responders safe by staying off the roads unless necessary for work or emergencies,” Mayor Joe Cox said Sunday evening.
