Alex Rae Smith of Brookhaven and Leighton Lewis Jordan of Brookhaven announce their engagement and approaching wedding.

Miss Smith is the daughter of Dee Dee Reid and Dusty Smith. She is the granddaughter of Betty Reid and the late Pete Reid, and Mike and Sally Hedgepeth.

Mr. Jordan is the son of Angie Vaughn Jordan and Bob Jordan and the grandson of the late Glen and Becky Vaughn, and the late William Jordan and Faye Huff.

The bride-elect is a 2016 high school graduate and a 2019 graduate of Aveda Institute. She is employed at Co-Lin Feed and Seed LLC, and self-employed at Skin Fix by Alex.

The prospective groom is a 2012 graduate of Enterprise Attendance Center. He is employed as manager of Co-Lin Feed and Seed LLC.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, at 6 p.m. at Heucks Retreat Baptist Church, 2167 Heucks Retreat Road NE. A reception will follow in the ministry center.
