Funeral service for Mr. Larry Gene Temple will be 11 a.m., Monday, February 8, 2021, at Mary Spring Church of God of Prophecy, with burial to follow. Visitation is from 9 until the time of service.

Mr. Temple, 72, of Brookhaven, passed from this life February 3, 2021. He was born November 22, 1948 in Gloster, Mississippi. He was retired as Director of Maintenance with Haven hall Retirement Center. He was an avid hunter and drummer. He enjoyed football. Spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Dogie, is what gave him his greatest joy. Mr. Temple was a member of Mary Spring Church of God of Prophecy.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Saundra Turpin Temple; his father, Henry Elijah Temple and wife, Dorothy Turpin Temple; his mother, Edwina Sterling Temple; daughter, Veronica Lynn Temple; and sister, Darlene Temple.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Barry Temple and wife, Paula, Hansel Temple, Logan Temple and Monica, and Scott Laurich and wife, Christy; daughter, Heidi Temple; brothers, Adrian Temple and wife Linda, Wayne Temple and wife Charlotte; sisters, June Temple Dupey and Husband, Leroy, Linda Molder and husband, Jim, Billie Stein and husband, Bruce, and Wanda Marrow. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, Bobby, Robin, Kyle, Jordan, Ragen, Brennan, Allyse, Gabriella, Aria, Sebastian, Catalaya, Bailey, Brant, Christina and husband, Corey; and four great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Ayden, Kyra and Kodee Sue, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members and friends.
