Marshals arrest man wanted in shooting

A Brookhaven man wanted in connection with a recent shooting is behind bars.
U.S. Marshals assisted Brookhaven Police Department in capturing Rashan Danyale Smith Monday night on Brignall Road, according to BPD Chief Kenneth Collins.
Smith, 35, was wanted for alleged aggravated assault/domestic violence, shooting into a dwelling and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Smith is believed to have fired shots through a window at 207 Rogers Circle just before 4 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Christy Nicole Tillman, 28, who was struck twice. Tillman was treated and released at a Jackson hospital.
