“The Monticello opportunity was attractive to Kim and I, as we are ready for a new challenge,” Joyce said. “The facility is a high capacity, strategic asset that is vital to the success of GP container board, and I want to be a part of moving this important asset forward.”

Joyce has a bachelor’s degree in pulp and paper science from North Carolina State University. His family currently lives in Pensacola, Florida, but plans to relocate to Mississippi in the near future.

GP Monticello has a workforce of 430 employees. The mill produces unbleached linerboard paper in various weights and grades that is used to make corrugated containers.

These containers are often used for shipping and food storage.
