Wesson teen killed in one-car crash

A Wesson teenager died in a one-car crash early Friday morning, authorities said.
Jakerio Miller, 16, was driving a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis on Jackson-Liberty Drive about a mile from Hwy. 550 around 1:30 a.m. when it appears the car left the road and struck a tree, said Chief Deputy Johnny Hall with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
He was pronounced at the scene by Lincoln County Coroner Clay McMorris.
Also in the car were Anterio Miller, 17, of Wesson, and Dekerion Jackson, 16. Jackson’s address was not immediately available to authorities. Both were taken to nearby hospitals with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by LCSO.
