Funeral services for Mrs. Faye Smith will be on Friday, March 6, 2020, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, Mississippi, at 11 a.m. with burial to follow in the Big Springs Cemetery. Bro. Kenny Cantrell will be officiating the services. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Friday, March 6, 2020, from 9 until 11 a.m.
Mrs. Smith, 87, of Brookhaven, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at Villa South Assisted Living in Florence, Mississippi, with her loving family by her side. She was born on March 9, 1932, in Brookhaven, to Herman and Winnie Bowman. She was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church where she was the pianist for 50-plus years. She worked for many years as a sales clerk at Wal-Mart; and enjoyed gardening and talking to her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Donald Ray Smith; her son, Clay Donald Smith; and her three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors are her daughter, Belinda Moseley; her daughter-in-law, Angie Smith; her grandchildren, Charity Moseley Wallace, Brian Ashley Moseley, Melanie Moseley Rankin, Brent Smith and Nicholas Smith; her great-grandchildren, Reagan and Wilkes Wallace, Reese and Madie Moseley, Avery, Ella and Beck Rankin, Carter Smith, Clay and Cole Smith; her sister, Adley Stewart; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
