A machine operator with Greenbriar Digging Services works Tuesday to lessen the slope of the entrance to South Whitworth Avenue between the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce and the old Fred’s building. The project, on city right-of-way, is funded by a 50-50 match between the city and building owner John Lynch. The still-unnamed building, when finished, will house Magnolia Blues as well as a pizza restaurant and an ice cream shop.
