Funeral services for Mildred P. Smith will be on Monday, May 13, 2019, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, Mississippi, at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow in the Johnson Grove Church of Christ Cemetery in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Bro. Joel Smith and Bro. David Smith will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Monday, May 13, 2019, from 12:00 until the service at 2 p.m.

Mrs. Smith, 86, of Brookhaven, Mississippi, passed from this life on Friday, May 10, 2019, at Country Brook Living Center with her loving family by her side. She was born on May 27, 1932, in Winnsboro, Louisiana, to William C. and Ethel Jackson McDonald. She was a member of New Hope Church of Christ; was a retired cashier; and enjoyed cross stitching, cooking, socializing, word search puzzles, and spending time with her family. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother,grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Julius W. Smith; daughter, Kathryn Lynn Prine; and sister, Gwendolyn P. Floyd. Survivors are her children, J. Michael Smith, Terry D. Smith and Angie Henderson-Smith; siblings, Juanita Allbriton, Huey P. McDonald, and Jerry McDonald; 3 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers are Barney Albritton, Matt Springfield, Duane Meilstrup, Ben Springfield, Stephen Springfield, and Chastin Qualls. Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Meilstrup, Andrew Meilstrup, Jeremy Albritton, Jason Albritton, Jerry McDonald, Jerry McDonald, Jr., and William McDonald.
