California aerobatic performer Julie Clark has been friends with Paul Barnett’s family since 2006 when a chance meeting with the late Dr. Jim Barnett at the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Airport led to a family dinner and an overnight stay at the Barnett home. Now Clark drops in on the Barnetts any time she’s close to the Brookhaven horizon. Clark flew in for lunch with Barnett’s widow Thursday on her way to Florida. Paul Barnett, a pilot like his father, will be joining Clark at an airshow in Lakeland in April. Clark’s shih tzu-Yorkie mix Lindy, named for legendary pilot Charles Lindbergh, travels everywhere with her.
