BFD responds to medical call

Fire reports
Brookhaven Fire Department responded to a medical call at 4:53 p.m. Monday of a child with his fingers stuck in a door on Old Highway 51. The child was loose when firefighters arrived so they stood by to assist until KDMC Ambulance Service arrived. Firefighters also responded to a fire alarm at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday at 310 Noble Drive but it was a false alarm.
Ambulance reports
King’s Daughters Medical Center Ambulance Service reported 15 calls Monday. Seven were transfers, with one in the city, two to McComb and four to Jackson. There were eight emergency calls — all medical — with five in the city and three in the county.
