Funeral services for Thelma Louise Calcote, of Brookhaven, are Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church with burial at the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be today, Oct. 16, 2018, from 5 until 9 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Calcote, 73, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven. She was born Dec. 7, 1944. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Women and also Evening Lions Club.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Henry Calcote; parents, Melvin Varner and Edna Hooks Knight; granddaughter, Jasey Calcote; and special nephew, Bishop Knight.

Survivors are her son, Victor Calcote and wife, Tammy; daughters, Jennifer Calhoun and husband, Mike, Loretta Williams and husband, Ricky; brother, Robert Varner, Billy Joe Knight and sister, Carrie Majorie; three grandchildren, Kasey Barksdale and husband, Josh, Zach Williams and wife, Karah and Alex Colhoun; three great-grandchildren, Atleigh Barksdale, Paxton Barksdale and Kendall Rae Williams; special nephew, Ronnie Keen and wife, Pam, and sons, Jacob, Matthew and Nathan Keen.
