Funeral services for Barbara Bardwell Cupit, of Brookhaven, are Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Easthaven Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018 from 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cupit, 79, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven. She was born July 6, 1939, to Barber Bardwell and Gettye Brister Bardwell. She worked for a number of years as a bookkeeper at Sunflower and later became a manager at New Haven Recovery Center for Women. She enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia and going to garage sales. She was a member of Brookway Church of Christ and will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Preceding her in death are her parents; one sister; and three brothers.

Survivors are her husband of 59 years, Wallace Lee Cupit; daughter, Becky G. Bessonette; two grandchildren, Adam Bessonette and wife, Sherry and LeAnn Perry and husband, Danny; and two great-grandchildren, Addison and Aidan Bessonette.
