Funeral services for Ryan Patrick Powell, of Brookhaven are Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Powell, 44, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018, at his residence. He was born Feb. 21, 1974, to Clayton Hughes Powell Jr. and Darlene Bartow Powell. He was safety representative for EMC Insurance and had a master’s of science degree in criminal justice. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, football, cooking and woodworking.

Preceding him in death were his mother; grandparents, Darwin and Virginia Bartow and C.H. and Cornelia Powell; and father-in-law, John Heimer.

Survivors are his father; ex-wife and mother of his children, Anna Powell; son, Jalen Brooks Powell; daughters, Riley Chandler Powell and Payton Alexis Powell, all of Petal; brother, Chris Powell and wife, Amy of Memphis, Tennessee and Sean Powell, of Brookhaven.
