Former Brookhaven Academy Cougar Corey Dickerson has continued a torrid pace throughout the regular season for the Pittsburgh Pirates this season.

For the year, Dickerson is hitting .303 with an on-base percentage of .338 and a slugging percentage of .449, good for on OPS of .787.

For the month of June, Dickerson hit .263 with an on-base percentage of .300. The first few days of July have been kinder to the Cougar alum, as he’s gone 5-11 in his first four games this month with a homerun.

He’s hitting .455 in the small sample size with an OPS of 1.182.

The Pirates have struggled, however, over the last few weeks and have likely played themselves out of playoff contention.

Pittsburgh has gone 5-11 in their last 16 games and they are coming off a sweep at the hands of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
