Funeral services for Lauvahn Murray, of Brookhaven, are Friday, June 15, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church with burial at Midway Cemetery in Meadville. Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Friday, June 15, 2018, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mr. Murray, 96, died Wednesday, June 13, 2018. He was born Sept. 14, 1921. He served in the United States Navy during WW II and was retired from Chevron Oil. He was a member of Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church. He was a resident of the Aspen of Brookhaven and will be missed by all that loved and knew him.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Geneva Murray; parents, Ernest Murray and Arie Clark Murray; brothers, E.T. Murray and Henry Murray; sisters, Beatrice Cotton, Lillian Sullivan and Ernestine Morgan.

Survivors are his son, Milton Murray and wife Patsy; brother, Lariah Murray; two grandchildren, Melanie Gaspard and husband Robert, Mandy Jones and husband Keith; six great-grandchildren, Will Jones, Jackson Gaspard, Gretta Gaspard, Mason Jones and John Houston Jones.
