Funeral services for Joyce Miller Tate, of Brookhaven, are Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) with burial to follow at Wesson Cemetery in Wesson. Bro. Tim Evans will officiate the services.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 21, 2018, from 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Tate, 80, died Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Clinton. She was born Jan. 29, 1938, in Wesson, to Harold W. Miller and Gussie M. Miller. She was a member of Wesson Baptist Church and loved being a wife and mother. She enjoyed attending church and singing in the choir. She was honored to have been selected to join the choir in St. Louis, MO to commemorate the 50th year of high school band music. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and husband, Paul M. Tate.

She is survived by her daughters, Kim Prine and husband Joseph, of Terry, Jo Teer and husband Mike, of Clinton, Kristy Bell and husband Lonnie, of Edwards, and Paula Evans and husband Tim, of Raymond; sister, Carolyn Graham and husband Edward, of Wesson; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kare-In-Home Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mrs. Tate’s name to The Brookhaven Animal Rescue League.
