Larry and Ann Barksdale, of Brookhaven, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on March 22. They were married in 1968.

Mr. Barksdale is retired from his work at the lawn mower plant, as a mechanic and as a Wal-Mart employee.

Mrs. Barksdale is retired from her work as a day care worker at First Baptist Church.

The couple has two children: Vance Barksdale and wife Wendy, of Brookhaven, and Brent Barksdale and wife Tina, of Phoenix, Arizona; three grandchildren: Joshua and Noah Barksdale of Brookhaven, and Carter Barksdale of Phoenix; and two great-grandchildren: Atleigh and Paxton Barksdale of Brookhaven.

The couple will celebrate on Sunday, March 25, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 3646 Hwy. 550 NW, Wesson.
