Funeral services for Susan Russell Means, of Brookhaven, are Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at noon at Wellman Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto with burial at the church cemetery. Bro. Jeff Davis will officiate the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mrs. Means, 62, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. She was born Feb. 22, 1955, in Houston, Texas, to Huey P. Russell and Barbara Greer Russell. She loved growing flowers, cooking and singing for the Lord Jesus. As a hospice nurse and kidney dialysis specialist, she had a huge, compassionate heart for her patients, sharing the love of Jesus with them as she cared for their medical needs.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and sister, Donna Russell Cupit.

Survivors are her husband of 32 years, Ron Means; brother, David P. Russell Sr. and wife Anita; sisters, Margaret Johnson and husband Danny, and Jane Loper and husband Dana; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
