Brookhaven Police officers are investigating a minor collision with a car and a freight train. The incident occurred Tuesday about noon at the railroad crossing on Drury Lane, behind KDMC Fitness Center. The female driver, who police are not naming because she is a minor, was crossing the tracks when her car was hit by the train on her passenger side. Warning signs, but no lights, are present at that crossing. Capt. Clint Earls of the Brookhaven Police Department said the driver was shaken up by the accident but was not injured.
