Funeral services for Brenda Lynn Adams, of Hamilton, are Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Center Hill Baptist Church in Hamilton with burial at the church cemetery. Bro. Terry Edwards will officiate. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be today, May 16, 2017, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Wednesday, May 17, 2017, from 1 p.m. until service time at Center Hill Baptist Church.

Ms. Adams, 64, died Friday, May 12, 2017, surrounded by family after a long illness. She was born March 13, 1953, in Brookhaven, to Carlton and Juanita Brown. She attended Co-Lin Community College and graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University, where she majored in music with a minor in special education. After college she moved back to Brookhaven, where she met the love of her life, Henry V. Adams. She was a special education teacher for over 20 years, with the majority spent at Hamilton School. She served as pianist at many churches in her home state of Mississippi, including Southway Baptist Church in Brookhaven, First Baptist Church in Lucedale, Carterville Baptist Church in Petal, First Baptist Church in Plantersville and Center Hill Baptist Church in Hamilton.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Dale; parents; grandparents, Veller and Frances Adams and J. C. and Beulah Brown.

Survivors are her step-mother, Bonnie Brown, of Brookhaven; son, Thomas Lawrence Adams, of New Orleans, Louisiana; daughter, Rachel Lynn Schmermund and husband Sean, of Colorado Springs; and her loving husband of 39 years Henry Adams.

Pallbearers are deacons of Center Hill Baptist Church.
