Funeral services for James Wesley White, of Brookhaven, are Friday, May 12, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) with burial at Fair River Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven. Bro. Chris Shepherd will officiate the services.

Visitation will be today, May 11, 2017, from 5 until 9 p.m. and will continue Friday, May 12, 2017, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. White, 76, died Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at his residence. He was born Oct. 17, 1940, in Lawrence County, to Willie O. and Ila Vee Smith White. He was a member of Nola Baptist Church. He worked for many years as a plumber. He enjoyed family time on the river. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are his wife of 58 years, Carolyn White; daughter, Wendy Beeson; son, Dustin White; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Jackie Matthews and Willie Faye Sanders; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Billy Douglas, Corey Beeson, Jeremy Beeson, Shane McCullough, Mike Owens and Dale Foster.
