Flash flood, tornado watches in effect

Lincoln County and surrounding areas are under a flash flood watch until 9 p.m. today.

A tornado watch is in effect until 8 p.m.

The National Weather Service in Jackson said rainfall amounts of 1-3 inches are possible today. The flooding of roads and low lying areas is possible. Some roads may become impassable.

As much as 3 inches of rain has fallen in the area over the past three days.
