BA picks up road wins at WCAA

The Brookhaven Academy Cougars and Lady Cougars wrapped up their third straight road trip with wins at Wilkinson County Christian Academy on Thursday. The Cougars prevailed 77-42, and the Lady Cougars won by a score of 55-16.
BA girl’s 55, WCAA 16
The Lady Cougars (8-4) took a 40-11 lead into the locker room at halftime and were able to cruise to the win in the second half. Jana Case paced the Lady Cougars with 17 points and six rebounds. Kailyn Jordan had 10 points, while Cameron Watson and Anna Michael Smith each added seven points for the game. India Ford led Wilkinson County Christian Academy with eight points.
BA boy’s 77, WCAA 42
In varsity boy’s action, the BA Cougars (9-2) had little trouble with the Rams placing four players in double-figures. Dawson Flowers led all scorers with 18 points and eight rebounds. Dylan Winborne had 15 points, while Luke Jackson and Ethan Nations each posted 14 points on the evening. Hutch Holden led the WCCA Rams with 13 points.
BA JV girl’s 34, WCAA 14
In junior varsity girl’s action, the BA Junior Varsity Lady Cougars (11-2) rebounded from a loss earlier in the week with a convincing 34-14 victory. AB Warren led all scorers with 13 points. Abeni Fuller chipped in four points toward the total for the Lady Cougars.
BA JV boy’s 36 BA 19
The BA JV Cougars (11-1) stayed with their winning ways flexing their muscles on-way to a 36-19 win behind a 12-point effort from Britton Nelson. Tyler Fortenberry followed with a 10-point afternoon in support.
