Public hearing concerning Railroad Street property postponed

The public hearing concerning a piece of property on Railroad Street scheduled for today has been postponed, according to officials.
Due to scheduling issues with the parties involved, the public hearing will be rescheduled, city building inspector David Fearn said.
“All I can say is that there were scheduling issues,” he said. “The rescheduled date has not been set, but I plan to recommend a day in December.”
The Brookhaven Board of Aldermen will announce the new date of the hearing once they meet, Fearn said.
The public hearing was set to discuss the structure at 215 Railroad St. — a property that has been on the city’s building clean-up list for several years.
