Funeral services for Billy Gene Davis, of Wesson, are 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Davis, 79, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 15, 1936, to Marvin Davis and Eula Mae Walker Davis.

He was retired from the oilfield and was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Ann Gunnell and Oni Faye Smith; brothers, Earl Davis and Alcus Davis and an infant daughter.

Survivors are his wife, Frances Applewhite Davis; son, Randy Davis and wife, Jennifer; daughters, Kathy Harris and husband, John, Melissa (Lisa) Cole and husband, Mike; brothers, JM Davis, Richard Davis and wife, Syble, and Ray Davis and wife, Elaine; seven grandchildren, Jenny Leggett and husband, Jason, Alex Davis and wife, Casey, Dustin Case and wife, Jill, Anthony Harris and wife, Alisha, Craig Harris and wife, Caitlin, Brien Cole and Abby Cole; 13 great-grandchildren, Gavin Leggett, Laney Leggett, John Parson Leggett, Harlee Davis, Charli Case, Bently Case, Haze Case, Wesley Rhodes, Alaina Harris and Kenzie Harris and one due in November; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
