Mr. and Mrs. Tony Kevin Hudson, of Wesson, and Denise Eilene Hudson, of Jackson, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Callie Jordan Hudson, to Phillip Thomas Douglas.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lamar Douglas, of Hazlehurst.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph William Jordan, of Brandon, Sandra Jordan, of Brookhaven, the late Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Donald Hudson of Wesson, and the late Arie Nell Hudson of Wesson.

He is the grandson of Emily Louise Hughes and the late William Max Hughes, of Crystal Springs, and Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Charles Douglas, of Hazlehurst.

The bride-elect is a 2011 graduate of Wesson Attendance Center. She attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College and received an associate’s degree in nursing in May 2013. She is currently employed as a registered nurse at Merit Health Central.

The prospective groom is a 2008 graduate of Copiah Academy. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mississippi State University in May 2012. He is currently employed with Precision Spine.

The couple will exchange vows on Sept. 10, 2016, at Crystal Beach in Destin, Florida. A reception is to follow at Regatta Bay Golf and Yacht Club.
