Funeral services for Charlene Smith Jasper, of Crystal Springs, are Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Pine Bluff Baptist Church in the Dentville community with burial in Pine Bluff Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is in charge of arrangements. 

Visitation is today from 5 to 8 p.m. a t Pine Bluff Baptist Church.

Mrs. Jasper, 65, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. She was born Oct. 29. 1950, in Hazlehurst, to Versie and Dorothy Smith.

Mrs. Jasper was a member of Pine Bluff Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, beach vacations and spending time with her family. She loved her husband, children, grandchild and siblings.

Survivors are her husband of 47 years, Dude Jasper; son, Michael Jasper and wife, Sheila, of Crystal Springs; daughters, Amanda Jasper and Melissa Rasmssen and husband, Steve, all of Jackson; brothers, Tommy Smith and wife, Kathleen and Ricky Smith and wife, Becky, all of Crystal Springs; sister, Joan White and husband, Mitchell, of Crystal Springs; and one grandchild, Emily Jasper.

Memorials may be made to Pine Bluff Church, Youth Fund.
