Funeral services for Janet McIntosh Moreton of Brookhaven are Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Wednesday, June 22, 2016, from 5 until 8 p.m. and Thursday, June 23, 2016, from 9 a.m. until time of services at Riverwood.

Mrs. Moreton, 95, of Brookhaven, died Sunday, June 19, 2016, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was born Sept. 18, 1920.

She was a member of several organizations including Camellia Club, Junior Auxiliary, Cub Scout Den Mother, Girl Scout Leader, Order of the Eastern Star Natchez Chapter #75, Pucki Huddle Club, Garden Club, and various bridge clubs. Mrs. Moreton was a loving, caring and talented housewife. Her home was always open to her family, friends and relatives. She enjoyed sewing, baking and gardening her flowers, which she would provide to the church and community organizations as floral arrangements. She loved being involved in her generations of children’s activities. Along with Joyce Woods, Mrs. Moreton owned J & J Wedding Service, catering and directing weddings and providing anniversary and birthday cakes. She applied her talents for almost 30 years.

Preceding her in death were her husbands, Herbert K. Roberts and Edward F. Moreton; parents, Henry G. McIntosh and Lela H. McIntosh; brothers, H.B. McIntosh and Edwin McIntosh; sisters, Clarice Izard, Blanche Anders and Montyle Richardson; and three sons, Ken Kavanaugh Roberts, Lance Edward Moreton and Layne Elliot Moreton.

Survivors are her sons, Stephen Alan Moreton and wife, Beverly Hare Moreton, of Brookhaven and Larry Edward Moreton and wife, Doris Moreton, of Brookhaven; daughter, Amy Moreton Labeth and husband, Greg Labeth of Belle Chasse, Louisiana; nine grandchildren, Alan Moreton, Layne Moreton, Moreton Labeth, Morgan Labeth, Myles Labeth, Cam Grippi, Melissa Putnam and Nicholas Grippi; seven great-grandchildren; 12 nieces and nephews; and many lifelong friends and other family members. She will be greatly missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Methodist Church Brookhaven, 215 West Cherokee St., Brookhaven, MS, 39601.
