BOGUE CHITTO – The Bogue Chitto Lady Cats celebrated Senior Night Thursday with a 5-3 victory over the Pearl River Central Lady Blue Devils.
“We got off to a rocky start, but we did a great job regaining control of the game in the first inning,” said BC coach Scott Leggett. “Both pitchers threw well tonight. Overall, I was pleased with my girls’ efforts. It is always good to a win on Senior Night. Now, it is playoff time.”
The Lady Cats (19-6, 3-0) will begin their Class 1A playoff next week after receiving an opening round bye this weekend. Bogue Chitto will play the winner of the Sebastapol/Resurrection contest in a best-of-three series. BC will travel on Tuesday for Game One and return home to host Game Two and Game Three, if needed, on Thursday. Game times have not been set.
