Wolfpack tennis blanks Holmes

GOODMAN – The Co-Lin Wolves bounced back from the first loss of the season with a sweeping the Bulldogs 9-0 Monday.
The Wolfpack host Mississippi Gulf Coast today at 1:30 p.m.
At No. 1 doubles, Matteusz Kimelski and Cory Alderman paired up to defeat Owen Taylor and Nick Robertson 8-3. Hayes Thompson and Will Pennington played in the No. 2 slot, and grabbed a win over Corey Warren and Matthew Philley, 8-5. Braxton Hinton and Drake Nelson rounded out the doubles teams and defeated Fred Johnson and Matthew Dubourg, 8-4.
Kimelski played in the normal No. 1 position and defeated Taylor 6-2, 6-0. Skylar Moody played No. 2 singles and defeated Robertson 6-4, 6-1. Hinton competed in the No. 3 slot and defeated Warren in the closest match of the afternoon. Hinton battled for a 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-2) victory. At No. 4, Thompson grabbed a win over Philley 6-1, 6-3. Nelson played in the No. 5 slot and defeated Dubourg easily 6-0, 6-0. Alderman finished up the singles action at No. 6. He defeated Johnson 6-0, 6-1.
