The Loyd Star boys and girls golf teams were victorious over West Lincoln at the Brookhaven Country Club Monday.

The Hornets scored a 206 to win the boys’ event. Peyton Bullock directed Loyd Star scoring with a 45 and was the event medalist. Halsey Stewart had a 53 and Jacob Case scored a 54.

West Lincoln scored a 215 in the event. Cooper Moak paced the Bears with a 53. Justin Pratt, Nathan Gary and Garrick Maxwell shot a 54 each.

In girls’ action, the Lady Hornets clinched the win with a team score of 157. The Lady Bears finished with a team score of 160.

Madi Lewis and Michaela Marler directed the Lady Hornets as both finished with a score of 52 and were the co-medalist. Courtney Wyatt had a 54.

The Lady Bears were led by MaKayla Shelton and Haley Moak with a score of 53 each. Morgan Newman shot a 54.
