Funeral services for Kenneth Earl Smith of Bogue Chitto are Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. 

Visitation was Monday, March 21, 2016, from 5 until 9 p.m. at Riverwood.

Mr. Smith, 70, died Sunday, March 20, 2016, at his residence. He was born in Brookhaven on Aug. 15, 1945, to the late Leonard Smith and Nannie Belle Leggett Smith.

He was a papermaker for Georgia Pacific.

Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Kimberly Smith Hux; grandson, Kollin Ross Smith; and brothers, Donald Gene Smith and Charles Leonard Smith.

Survivors are his wife, Dorothy Carlile Smith; sons, Ken Smith (Chasity) and Kyrk Smith (Missy); son-in-law, Kyle Hux; 11 grandchildren, Kayla Ray (Cal), Matthew Smith, Katie, Kelsey, Kylie Hux, Karla White (Cody), Sawyer Wallace (Chynna), Shelby Wallace, Karter Smith and Reese and Carleigh Brocato; two great-grandchildren, Riley and Maggie Ray; and Chris, Carolyn (Bertha), Courtney and Colton Welch.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church children’s playground fund P.O. Box 170 Bogue Chitto, MS 39629.
