Funeral services for Eddie Clinton Furr are Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle with burial in Ramah Baptist Church Cemetery in McCall Creek. Bro. Allen Jenkins will be officiating the services. Pallbearers are Christopher Smith, Steven Nickles, Earl Willoughby, Ricky Nettles, Bubba Townsend and B.J. Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Jenkins, Billy Wayne Moore, Bobby Gene Smith, Eddie Smith, Steve Smith, Frank Posey Jr. and Billy Posey. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, from 5:30 until 9 p.m. at Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle and continues Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, from 11 a.m. until the time of services.

Mr. Furr, 75, of Brookhaven, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015, at Pinecrest Nursing Home in Hazlehurst. He was born May 29, 1940, in Brookhaven to Ed Louis and Lavada Palmer Furr.

He was a member of Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle in Brookhaven. He was a retired press operator from Quality Cleaners in Brookhaven. He loved music and fishing. He was also a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Lorene Pepper Furr and Mary Jane Jenkins Furr; son, William Brian Furr; two brothers; and four sisters.

Survivors include his daughter, Martha Furr Smith and husband, Terry, of Lucien; step-children, Bro. Allen Jenkins and wife, Karen and Bobby Jenkins and wife, Trisha; grandchildren, Christopher Smith and wife, Amanda and Kayla Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Micah and Mia Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
