Lady Jackets sting Lady Saints; boys fall

The Enterprise Lady Yellow Jackets captured a big 60-19 victory over the St. Andrews Lady Saints Tuesday night at Enterprise.
In the boys’ contest, the St. Andrews Saints clobbered the Jackets 84-45.
Enterprise will resume action Saturday as the Jackets and the Lady Jackets host the Franklin County Bulldogs for four games. The junior varsity girls and boys games will begin at 1 and 2 p.m., followed by the varsity games at 3 and 4:30 p.m.
Lady Jackets 60, Lady Saints 19
Enterprise’s offense caught fire in the second period and clobbered St. Andrews with a 25-11 run to lead 31-17 at halftime.
In the second half, the Lady Jackets outscored the Lady Saints 29-2 to secure the win.
Alissa Barlow powered the Lady Jackets’ explosion with 19 points, seven assists, five rebounds and five steals. Eden Ward and Carlee Nations chipped in with 10 points apiece. Monisha Pendleton contributed eight points. Haley Nations provided five points. Michele Herrington netted four points and had four rebounds. Karlee Burgess also gathered four rebounds and scored two points. Jana Nations finished with two points, four assists and three steals.
Karilynn Stephens was the top shooter for the Lady Saints with eight points.
St. Andrews 84, Enterprise 45
The Saints outscored the Jackets 45-28 in the first half. In the second half, St. Andrews drilled the Jackets with a 39-17 run in the final two quarters to secure the win.
Jontavious Smith directed the Jackets’ offense with 18 points. Dewayne Pendleton chipped in with 12 points. Zach Hodges netted eight points. Braxton Wallis scored three points. Peytin Jergins and Hunter Bland had two points each.
Parker Prater fueled the St. Andrews Saints with a game-high 34 points. Jake Johnson contributed 10 points.
In junior varsity action, the Lady Jackets edged the Lady Saints 31-29. Breyuanna Johnson led the Lady Jackets with 10 points. Eden Ward scored seven points.
Kameyn Davis paced the Lady Saints with 10 points. Anna Kathryn Becket had nine points.
In boys’ action, St. Andrews defeated Enterprise 47-17. Lewis Watts powered the Saints with 15 points. Jake Johnson had 10 points.
Braxton Wallis was the top scorer for the Jackets with six points. Hunter Bland scored five points.
