The Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the night it will celebrate and honor the achievements and successes of the past year.
The BLCCC Annual Membership Celebration will be Nov. 17 at Ole Towne Church at 220 S. Church St. The Chamber will recognize and honor those who strive to further local business, industry and education, and give out varied awards.
The event will begin with the presentation of awards and achievements from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Entertainment and hors d’oeuvres will follow from 6 to 8 p.m. Instrumental musical entertainment will be presented by Marvin Curtis.
Chamber Program Director Kay Burton said this year’s festivities will start just a bit earlier, and the “business” will be handled in the beginning so that members can relax, network and visit. It’s a tradition to celebrate what has been accomplished over the past year, Burton said, as well as a time to install new Chamber officers.
“It’s an opportunity to be in a more relaxed social situation for Chamber members to get to know each other and fellowship,” Burton said.
Tickets are $10 and are available at the Chamber or at the door. For more information call the Chamber at 601-833-1411.
