Funeral services for Michael “Mike” Howington were held at Indian Gap National Cemetery in York, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Howington, 49, died on Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Lebanon, Pennsylvania after a hard fight with cancer.

Mike attended Brookhaven schools through high school. Soon after high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and moved to Pennsylvania where he owned a real estate mortgage company. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on his horse farm. He is survived by one daughter, Rebecca H. Harmes; and two grandchildren; his father, Don Howington, mother, Stella Petty; one brother, Jeff Howington; one sister, Donna H. Cook; and several aunts and uncles.
